Account lifecycle: trial, active, paused, deleted

What state your account moves through and how long you have at each step.

    Updated 5/4/2026

    States

    • trial — 30-day free trial. 1 domain, 1,000 renders, Standard bot preset.
    • active — paid subscription in good standing.
    • suspended — you cancelled in the billing portal. Keeps working until the current paid period ends.
    • deactivated — paused. No new renders. Humans still pass through to your origin (fail-open). Data is intact and reactivatable.
    • archived — data has been removed; login revoked.

    Transitions

    • Trial → deactivated — automatic if you don't pick a paid plan within 30 days.
    • Active → suspended — when you cancel via the customer portal. Renders continue until period end.
    • Suspended → deactivated — on the day your paid period ends; deletion timer starts.
    • Deactivated → archived — when the deletion window expires.

    Deletion windows

    • Trial-only accounts (never had a paid invoice): 30 days in deactivated, then full erasure.
    • Paid accounts (at least one successful invoice): 90 days in deactivated, then PII removed; minimal accounting stub kept.

    Reactivation

While suspended or deactivated, picking any plan in the billing portal restores everything — projects, cache, bot settings, render logs. Once archived, data is gone; you can sign up again with the same email as a new account.
